Today we will be opening announcing to several forums and discussion groups about this site and the intent to create Revit wiki standards and gather requests for standards. See message below:

Hi,
Have you been interested in standards for Revit? Have you been looking for answers and there are none to be found? The reason is standards for Revit aren’t very well documented. There’s a lot of talk out there about how this or that company has standards but we as a community need to develop a system we can work on together. Stop the talk and let’s see some do together.

I would like to invite you to participate in a bold endeavor for community standards in Revit. Revitopia.com is a site dedicated to international standards in Revit. It’s a wiki site for posting standards, a discussion group for requesting standards, and a community for creating standards in one of the biggest BIM platforms in the world.

Many of us have looked to NBIMS and other sources for standards. However these standards communities on BIM in general and don’t offer solutions for the complexities of any specific software . One BIM software uses one database solution for compiling information and another one may not use a database in the classic sense at all.

Feel free to come by. You involvement can be on any level.
-Just use what’s there
-Add standards to the wiki
-Post requests for standards
-Even offer stories on various aspects of you Revit project.

This site is in YOUR hands.
